Soy to the World Candle Company (R) was founded in September 2003 by Linda Panikowski in Southington, CT. The company was inspired by Linda's love of nature, animals, and the environment.  She decided to start this company in order to provide natural candle products that are healthier for the environment than paraffin products.

There are many good reasons to make the switch from paraffin to soy candles. Soy candles burn much cleaner (no soot on your walls, draperies, clothing, or furniture!), and last 30-40% longer than the widely available paraffin candles. Their use supports U.S. soybean farmers. Soy candles use 100% soy wax, a natural, biodegradable, water-soluble product.  Paraffin candles, on the other hand, use petroleum, a by-product of oil refining, most often from non-U.S. sources.  No toxins or harmful chemicals are released when burning soy candles; however, studies have demonstrated otherwise with paraffin candles.
